Why a Vertical Horizon?
We are on a mission to save water, reduce carbon and delete food miles.
The Grand Canyon is 4 miles wide and 1 mile deep, but it’s creator, the Colorado River, has only flown into the Pacific once in the last 30 years. That’s how much water we use and it’s a global trend. Hydroponics uses just 5% of the water, when compared with growing in soil, and so we can make a real difference by growing this way.
After 20 years as an automotive engineer traveling worldwide, a trip to the Grand Canyon changed my perspective forever. I realised I could use my knowledge to make a positive difference for our planet and its people, and after extensive prototyping, Vertical Horizon Hydroponics Ltd was born.
Since our launch in 2022 we’ve manufactured and supplied enough vertical food systems to reach from base to above the rim of the canyon!
Our hydroponic systems provide sustainable, affordable food produce that helps growers save money, increase yields, and protect the environment at the same time. Together we can make the horizon vertical!
