Chard with Parmesan

Three ingredients for a quick and easy side dish that is a real treat for the palate, chard parmigiana.

Fresh vegetables, just seared and sautéed in a pan with butter, then sprinkled with plenty of grated cheese: yet another demonstration of how a tasty and satisfying dish can be created with very simple ingredients.

  • Tips

Make sure you don’t overcook the chard by making it into a sloppy consistency. You can substitute the butter with olive oil if you prefer. Also, I like to add garlic and a little chilly to give it a kick.

  • Ingredients for 2

    250g of Chard

    40g of butter

    Grated parmesan to your liking

    Salt

    Pepper

  • Method

To make chard parmesan, wash the vegetables well, cut them into large pieces and blanch them in lightly salted water for a few minutes. Drain it very well and then put it in a pan where you have already melted the butter.

Leave to flavour over medium to high heat for 10 minutes, moving frequently with a fork so that the seasoning is distributed evenly.

Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with plenty of grated cheese. Serve the parmigiana chard immediately, piping hot.
